The position plot on the blog map is not real time but updated whenever I send the information - the position at the top of the message. So it misses a lot of detail and will just show a small change since this morning. That conceals quite a lot of course changes and tacking as we have responded to changing weather. From ghosting along in the early hours we are now going like a train. Hard on the wind, mostly Force 5 and a reefed mainsail, so getting used to life at 20 degrees of heel!

Shortly we will be moving north from the Spanish coast and crossing Biscay. Of course as we are about 100 miles west of Finisterre we are really just continuing up the Atlantic rather than crossing the Bay. But nice to feel it is a significant landmark (landmark??) reached.

All is well and we have just had one of the “Cook” frozen meals for supper, Cod Mornay. Yummy!
