I think so(brave words that I may have to eat). 142 miles to Plymouth Breakwater and the forecast is for W/NW 3-4, 5 at times backing SW 4-5 later. The tide is setting us W at the moment but in an hour or so it will turn N. It is 93 miles to the Lizard so I think we will have a foul tide there (it runs W from about 2100 . . . So I think it is reasonable to hope to be in Plymouth for breakfast.
After the terrible weather I had on the outward passage, I felt it was only fair to give Malcolm and Judy a get out clause, in case they had bitten off too much. I did stress that on the law of averages it would be rather different, but wow, just how different! By this afternoon we will have had 5 days of continuous reaching, never doing less than. 5.5 knots and often doing over 8! This has surely been some of the most fabulous sailing ever!
