There is not much to report this morning. Malcolm confessed yesterday to writing a completely and totally unnecessary tortology (sic) in the final sentence of the blog yesterday when he wrote of a 'necessary prerequisite'! He might have got away with it as others would probably not have noticed so he was only in the naughty corner for 10 minutes.

During the last 18 hours the engine has been on and off a lot as we struggle to find the right compromise between keeping up progress, conserving fuel and disliking the need to motor. Overnight it has been continuous motor.

Understanding how to download grib files has been a help and compared to the passage out we have much more weather information. So far we have not reaped any tangible benefit from this but at least the arrows on the plot show us the lack of wind.... In the last couple of hours we do seem to have moved into the westerly zone, albeit it with only 2-3 knots, so perhaps things will pick up during the day.

Nearly time for some breakfast.
