Yes, I can reasonably (if not completely accurately) say I am 90% of the way. 1152 miles logged and 115 to my waypoint. Mind you, that is on the SE corner of the Island, probably 25 miles from Pta Delgada. And there will be some tacking to do as well. However a fishing boat came within 6 miles of me today (on AIS, but never saw it) and I have seen a couple of birds. Not I hasten to add, a pair of Ravens released from on board....

Progress has been steady today although not fast. The seas have been a bit calmer although the forecast this morning threatens 'high' again. The wind has mostly been upper end of F6 rather than 7 although for a while it was over 30 knots in a squall.

Last night, as you realised, the chaps (to remember Smithy's immortal lines) were about all in (as if...) but today most of them seem on better form. As I type this, home made fish pie is in the oven and the veg are chopped.
