Well it is Saturday morning and at 1000 I will have been at sea for a week. 772 miles clocked up and only, only 466 to go.

I promised a humour blog and it is just about ready to go but first the update. It was a nasty night. The F7 did not materialise but Force 6 very much did, along with driving rain and big seas. Not a lot of rest to be had.

Still this morning things are much better, barometer has stopped falling, wind has veered and dropped to F4. I am back to full sail, heading SW, only about 15 degrees less than I'd like to be.

The bad news is that I could not start the generator this morning. It is all automated so I can not just keep cranking it which may be what it needs. I. Suspect the failure has something to do with big seas and being too far healed last night. I am no engineer.

For the moment I am charging the battery with the engine. I think my best course of action is to try the generator later. Practised nihilists will recognise that this is completely different from doing nothing.

Peter
