We have had a good 24 hours: wind has kept blowing, so no engine use and 130 miles covered, all in the right direction. Total distance sailed 286 and 970 to go. The sun has been shining most of the day and with F4 from the NW we have been on a fast, close reach. Late in the afternoon it started to cloud over. I have downloaded some more weather information and the grib files suggest we will be steadily headed during the night. We are comfortably to theN and W of the great circle between Azores and Plymouth so we have a bit in hand before we need to tack out.
All is well on board and crew morale high, especially around meal times, when Judy applies magic to our rations and turns them into gourmet meals.
As always it is good to hear news from home: our thanks to Huon and David for greetings.
Peter
