I neglected to tell you all the blog address! It is blog.mailasail.com/peterfab Peter Dear friends and colleagues, As some of you know, I am now out on our boat PEMANDIA in Madeira and I am setting off tomorrow morning on another single handed passage, to bring the boat home. Some of you have asked if I will be writing a blog again, so provided the sat phone works ok I will try and do so. I think I have used up all the humorous lines on my previous trips, so it will probably be rather boring and factual and possibly not a daily entry although I will try and update my position every day. Actually I have re-read the blog from 2016 when I sailed single handed to the Azores and it has brought on PTSD!! Surely it can’t be that bad..... Actually I have been studying the weather and think that for the first few days at least, too little rather than too much wind may be the challenge (dangerous words). There is very clever forecasting now and I will probably head due North or even a bit West of North initially to find the best weather, rather than head in a straight line home. I have been to 5e supermarket this morning and have enough fruit and veg to keep scurvy at bay for a year. I think my last minute preparations aboard are complete and everything works so I’ve just got to untie and go. This email address gets me at sea if the sat phone link works, but I only check it once most days. It is always good to hear from any of you though.
