Well, I have been trying to get my land legs back again! I was incredibly unsteady on my feet when I first went ashore and perhaps no wonder: 12 days at sea, mostly to windward and much of it in winds above Force 6 the highest recorded wind speed was 43 knots.

The generator is fixed and I have replaced the genoa furling line. There is one significant anxiety which will be the subject of a separate blog. However overall I am getting used to being a shore based animal again.

Last night Emily arrived on the flight at well after midnight. So we did not rush this morning but it has been lovely to have her with me on board again. This morning we have just walked around the local area exploring and enjoying a lunchtime beer outside one of the many cafes. She will do an entry to the blog later and tell you what she found on arrival.

Meanwhile read about my one anxiety in the next entry.
