Easter at Las Perlas, Panama (21-24 April 2011, 8:37.4N 79:02.0W)

Although we still need to finish a few more jobs in Panama City before we leave for the Galapagos, we decided to go to Las Perlas, an archipelago some 35nm southeast of Panama City for Easter. An opportunity to have a swim and run the watermaker, which we cannot do in the polluted bay of Panama City. Arrived in the evening after having fixed the belts of the alternators, and invited for drinks on Santa Paz, our Brazilian friends. Crazy currents due to the high tides make us almost run into other boats, mainly powerboats of wealthy Panamanians, who are less picky in those matters, so at 2.00 AM we decide to re-anchor.

Next day finally time to relax, Scott Urquhart (Scotsman of the Urquhart Clan) of SV Salamander joins us for dinner. Lovely evening, all about the sense of it all and choices in life, as well as the opportunity to download some 100 movies for the ever so rare potato couch sessions.
