Arrived at the Q dock for clearance after 7 days and 7 hours. Total distance sailed was 1253nm (rhumbline 1118nm), we’ve motored 18 hours in total, max. gust 53.4kn, max. sustained winds around 45kn, max. wave height some 8m, we sustained some damage to deck fittings because of a breaking wave on the bow, but nothing major. All in all a memorable trip, which we will not easily forget, but we arrived safely and never felt in danger.

Now safely moored in the Opua Marina with electricity, water, all facilities and bar ashore. Many other cruisers around to share stories with and celebrate a safe arrival. This is the finish of the All Points Rally, a rally of boats leaving from Tonga, Fiji, and other tropical islands in the Pacific for New Zealand for the upcoming cyclone season with lots of activities ashore, a warm welcome indeed.
