months, all the locals were a gasp at how can it be this clear in September.
The guys were in spear fishing with the jelly fish, not a good sight when I
have to dive tomorrow to check on our prop and take the bag off so we can
get fuel.
But we have a big system building off the coast, it will miss us, but it
maybe absorbing the moisture as we have had a couple of dry days until
tonight.
But the huge towering clouds are building off the coast which is unusual
indicating the system off the coast, but last night to the west we had this
massive statues of clouds rising to the heavens, then to east over us it was
clear skies with a near full moon which caused these cloud statues to have a
glow silver lining an amazing sight as the cloud to cloud lightening passed
between them.
Tonight we got some rain I doubt enough to stop me having to run the water
maker tomorrow and fill the tanks, as the boys are loving their bath tub.
I spent time with two cruisers today discussing routing and plans, bays and
spots. One has a friend coming down but he is taking his boat through the
canal for Thanks giving which will not give him a lot of time. He and I
worked out a 15 stop plan that will get him there in 2 weeks, so now he
stretch it out with 5 weeks, but he will be coming back up this way in 2
years on his way home.
The other too is going through the canal but not until next year they taking
it slowly down will follow us but may see us in Panama, he has done it
before some 20 years ago, has a different approach now. We talked through
some of the bays and locations, where is really good, this allowed me to
plan out the next month with some ideas, which will change but based on
google earth and chart work we know the locations we want hit, which is a
big step.
It is funny to see Tracy staring to rev up to trip, and excitement of
exploring again, but not rushing, but also the miss giving of leaving a calm
anchorage to the unknown. But that is what makes this life fun, and a
challenge at the same time.
A disaster struck when we found two of original white bottles of wine have
not survived the trip, they had gone off, pity, just had to open a bottle of
red wine.
It is so peaceful on the docks, water running through, the odd light up the
estuary, but it is this peace and completeness of life that I enjoy.
