Hi Folks,

More wind with showers again , be it all at 26 deg ..
We went ashore to fill our air bottles in preparation for the hull scrub then visited Ike on Rhythm to discuss the gen set we have all come to a conclusion, we wonder whether Vetus will reply with the same answer !
Going stir crazy onboard we decided to go across the bay to the main village, the down wind trip was a doodle, after wandering round the village we are of the opinion that a sort of equivalent of Biarritz in France seen better days !, we ended up as usual at the supermarket, focal point of the village and of course run by the chinenes, they seem to have a vice like grip on most of the businesses in French Polynesia ,we had to taken out a small mortgage on a create of beer and a kit kat, we then set off back to the boat , the trip is about a mile and a half, and the gusting winds had returned, it was a rather salty saga on the way back , short choppy seas and 30 knots of wind meant a really good soaking in our T shirts and shorts, we all though how much more pleasant this warm water was sploshing over us as opposed to a English channel bash at this time of year .
Anyway Capt. Fluffy had brewed up a great chilli con cairn so that put us all in fine spirits when washed down with a bottle of the local ale .

All wet behind the ears !
