Hi Folks,

Well its official the city fathers want to put a sign up above the airport in a Hollywood stylie sign " Wellywood" it has been pointed out by local radio that the temptation to change the "y" to an "I",
with this thought in mind I am now wondering whether this will happen !
Whilst the world continues to spiral into eco meltdown in small town NZ the only talking points are MP
dissing parents on planes about there noisy and disruptive kids on flights, the PC police were on his case toot smart but it appears that public opinion had a different view, "get the kids under control mate" the comments were just what we all think but dare not say, is the back lash on its way ,
In the last fourtnight we have had several major earth quakes both on the south american side and at the bottom of the south Island, at 8.8 on the rickta scale it was quite sever but as nobody lives down there there wasnt much to report,
Fiji has been lashed by another cyclone this year the second major one in four months, this year it seems that the pacific storms have been very active as opposed to our time out there were it was rather benign, hopefuly it will all have settled down before my trip in late April.
Apart from that, our freinds on Rhythm have had a serious set back, during the floods in Oz the flooded river were there boat is moored had a number of vessels torn from there moorings and swept down stream, they got lodged amongst other moored vessels, whilst trying to cut there vessel free from the pack Ike was severly injured ,he  ended crushed between two vessels in his dingy, managing to get aboard a vessel and adventualy being taken to hospital by the emergency services, he is now in a stable condition it turns out his hip is broken in four places , but escaped internal injuries.
Official summer ended last week and we will be going to winter time in a few weeks, whilst we have been experiancing an indian summer down here we cant compain .
