Hi All,

Washboards reporting in for blog duty.

Yesterday concluded the Atlantic passage phase with Diana and Graeme heading of to very cold Blighty.  They seemed to pleased to be leaving, maybe it was getting away from the very hot humid weather or perhaps they were looking forward to the sanity of home!  Graeme did tell Captain Fluffy that he "quite understood what she had to put up with".

From the crew of Zepher we would like to thank both skippers for a splendid and most enjoyable passage.  In particular thanks for running a very happy ship, even at the beginning of the 0400hrs watch, and for keeping us fed and watered to such a high standard, I'm still trying work out how Lyn managed it.

Also many thanks to the shore support team for keeping us so well informed on the ARC front and also for many helpful tips on how to control the skipper.  Please note that none of it worked but did give us many hours of entertainment.

Today we will be joined by one of our shore support team, Margaret is on her way and will be the signal for the rest of us move to holiday/tourist mode. We do feel it's time for a spot of R&R because the work schedule has been intense since we arrived.  One unexpected job was the repair of the Zodiac dinghy when it developed a leak where the bottom joins the side tubes.  The tape glue seems to have given up the good fight and we were unable the do a permanent repair.  Zepher now has a new 2.5m RIB; now many of you will understand that with the 8HP motor there is major play factor to be had.  Chris and I had permanent big smiles as we zoomed about the anchorage;  we were of course just testing the boat and engine.

Things may go a bit quite here for a day or two since we are due to move into the marina and it will be our first time for mooring stern too Med style.  Arrrrgh..............

Bye,

Roger
