A day of squalls and sail changes.

It's been another busy morning with changeable winds and squalls passing through.  Luckily, unlike sailing in the UK,  they are short lived so we are not having to suffer being in the rain for too long in fact it's quite refreshing.  However the winds that have been wafting us along for the past week have now abandoned us.  Our ugrib forecast is now predicting wind more to the front of us instead of the following wind we have been enjoying.  Thus we have now wrapped up our down wind rig and prepared the more conventional cutter rig for the remaining 3/4 days to Tonga.  Funnily enough as I write this it has gone flat calm not a ripple, quite a Pacific ocean.  Anyway enough of the weather, I'm sure that you have all got enough of your own.
I am chef today, (yes Ann I am going to go on about food again) so I'm planning a roast chicken dinner it being Sunday and all. Unfortunately there'll be no roasties as Ruth finished the last of our spuds in her cornbeef hash last night, and I don't think smash would roast very well.  We are still fishless, we're not even been getting any bites, at least it saves us loosing tackle.  I was going to add that we have seen very little sign of fish, but that also has all changed as I write.  We are surrounded with Tuna fish feeding on something, they are jumping all around us, however redoubled efforts on us anglers part has not caused any to take our lures.  It looks like we are going to have to reassess our approach to catching fish!  Perhaps we could tow Chris behind with his speargun.  One last thing that hasn't changed as I write is that we have not sighted a ship or boat in the last week at sea, but we have spotted some rubbish floating in the water today, so perhaps there is someone just over the horizon.  A question before I head off to get stuck into my chefly duties.  What is this Veg. locker thing with Chris about?  Does it have anything to do with darch being an anagram of a vegetable?
