Hi Folks,

Hope you liked the three photo galleries posted yesterday , courtesy of our photo Tec Ruth.
Bit of bad news here yesterday as the weather has worsened our thoughts go out to those poor buggers at Palmeston Attol, we have just found out that a family we know well are there with there two young childern and we have recived an em from them they said things were difficult but we know that one boat has gone on the reef already, its quite a small community when you get this far along the track and everybody now in this part of the world has met in since leaving Panama in one of the island anchorages at some time .
he other bit of bad news is that four boats were broken into last night, at two in the morning , just half a mile away from us, Trenelly,Odity,Summer Wine, and Chantell, all of which had there laptops, cameras and other personnel items stolen whilst they were asleep.
Jason on Trinelly was the last to be boarded and they woke him , he raised the alarm and as the thief's left they cut his boat line, he jumped in to the water and got in his dingy and gave chase, they caught up with them on the beach but only managed to get the boat they had come out in, this it turns out was stolen.
Everybody has become very relaxed on the security front since Panama, they leave there boats open in the day time mainly for ventilation, we don't, and always lock up if we go ashore, but we do at night so the air circulates through, we have now taken to putting the harbour doors in, the nail carpet is out along with my Tazer stick and mace spray .. but the problem is that the guys that have lost stuff will have great difficulty replacing it here as this is just a tourist Island and unless you need a T shirt or a Sarong there not much else .
Anyway it leaves a bitter taste in most peoples mouths as this is supposed to be the crème of French Polynesia, from what I have seen so far its a bit curdled ..
