Day 2 Panama to Galapagos

Hi Folks,

Progress has been good considering we have light winds between 5 and 10 knots from the north , we have changed our sail config to our light airs Genicker plus our for sail ( Yankee ) both poled out , we have the advantage of having current flow with us so are still averaging about 5 knots through the water and over ground ( SOG) for the nautical ones amongst you .
Yesterday was filled with lots of marine wild life , jumping manta rays , turtles swimming aimlessly or so it seems about , one or two had passengers sitting on there shells in the shape of seagulls , cheeky little things but hay any piece of flotsam is an island out here .
The new auto pilot was checked out yesterday down in the lazerete , nice place to be in this heat with the gen set running , but all looks well on that front ...
The fishing team have been at it again , still no fish caught under sail yet , Lyn caught her biggest fish yet when we were at anchor , and it now resides in the deep freeze .!
In the veg locker things seem to be ok , I looked down there yesterday , pulled out a sack of oranges and juiced them , it only produced 3.5 litres of orange juice but with our luck they would have started to go off soon in this heat so its best to pot them before then .
The crew are fine a little disappointed with the fishing , apart from when they caught each other , Lyn and Rob were jumping about the deck calling for the humane killer to be bought to deck , it looked like a fine catch until it broke surface  and it was discovered the there two lines were tangled !
