Hi Folks,

A great nights sail at last , we passed the Minerva reef chain at 20:00 last night , dint stop as we were to late to enter the reef area , met a yacht called Sianara who had turned back because of a bad weather guess ... this is the fall out of our American friends who have weather meetings and then divide into to camps ! those that go and those that stay , with the cyclone season already begun I think 30 to 40 knts of wind is preferable to 100 knt ones on a reef in Tonga .. anyway we exchanged plesantarys mid ocean and went on our merry way into the unknown FIB file weather predictions ..
We have split into a five watch system which means 8 hr sleep a night , Trevor is on the team as chef today so we are all in for a suprise ...
The book reading has gained momentum , after we shook out the main sail this morning and took down our light airs genicker ..
Rob has appeared from his first day at sea sea sick induced sleep state to cook a magnificent spagbo and egg Mayo at lunch time ..
we still have to play the guessing game of where the tins of goodies are stored , as Lyn cunningly moves them about the boat to keep us part time wannabe TV chefs on our toes ..
Apart from that it was a pretty standard day , no planes , whales or lightning , which is the way we prefer it , Trevor has bought too much excitement with him on these fronts , we were discussing our sea passages across the Pacific , we didn't see a bean for two weeks , since Trevor's arrival we have had the lot !
Thanks every body for sending us the US election results I guess it was a landslide ... with a middle name like Hussein it was pointed out to me he should have no trouble in the middle east ! looks like the troops will be home for Christmas next year !
