Hi Folks,
Departed Las Perlas at 12o/c yesterday , little wind at first but by midnight we had a steady 7 to 12 knts , Rob and myself were on watch when we hoisted the pole and put up our light airs gennicker , we spurted ahead from  a lowly 4 knts to 7 knts.
Its been a quiet start to the trip as we were recovering from a few glasses of the red stuff the night before , we met a great French and Brazilian couple with two kids who are first timers across the oceans like ourselves , its always good to swap ideas and info on places to visit .
We spoke to Ike who has arrived in the Galapogus islands on the SSb raidio , were given good info on what to do and were to go to , the information that is available on web sites we have found to be misleading or completely wrong , whoever writes so of this stuff should have a large pole up there jacksey as lots of yachties look at these sites for current info on arrival procedures , the info provided was very dodgy , as people are goin to ports and are being turned away and set back up wind !
