Las Perlas Isles

Hi All,

Well we have escaped Panama , which at the Balboa end was a much more pleasant experience and it seems that the Colon area is even avoided by most Panamanians as well its a case of everyone knows were it is but nobody goes there.
After trialing the new auto pilot and setting up the brains that run it we ventured across the Gulf of Panama 35nm to the first of the Las Perlas Islands , following the pilot book recommendations we have anchored by the Isle of Pacheca , it is uninhabited and full of birds with the corresponding pong of guano .... its just like being in the channel back home having to work out tide heights and times as we have a 4m range here and its all rocks like Northern Spain .
Today we intend to move on to the Isla Contadora which is one of the main areas of Inhabitance , keeping an eye on the weather for the passage to the Galapagos .
