Hi Folks,

Sorry its been a bit of a mess over the past few months, with a very bitty blog, as to
why, well domestic bliss at No 33 came to an end on the 15th of May, I wont go into
too much detail be suffice to say we now reside at Zepher Berth 22 Seaview Marina
Welington, for the short term.
Also we have had my nephew over from the UK, for one month and have also been
to the great continent to the west, Oz, very nice and warm .......
The world as we know it post May 15th is realy all up in the air, we are looking at
our options as far as areas to live now that we are not commited to the combi
housing project over in the Eastern Suburbs of Wellington, after our trip to Oz
and having warm bones again it has awakened a few other options for the future
but at the moment we are waiting for our permanant residence visas to be soughted
this sould all be in place by the end of Novmber, once this is donewe can do a
little more stratigic planning .
Being back on Zeph has been great, a little cold at first but once the heater had
been fixed we enjoyed the temperate climate of 20 deg all day long despite the
50 knt Southerlys , and lashings of rain ! which seems to have been constant
since the begining of June .
My nephew Joe arrived at the begining of July for one month, the first week of
this NZ experiance was batterned down at pontoon 22 as we had a rather bad
dose of liquid sunshine at high presure from the south, when it did clear we were
offup to No 209 to get the under floor and walls of the void under the house insulated
and tidyed up, this we mostly completed before we went to Oz.
TheOz trip was great, warm sun and a great camper van, brand new fit out was
super, and I never thought I would warm to them but as we wound our way up
the coast from Brisbane to Bunduburg stoping to have a pee and a rest in the
back was great, and the only wat to realy see Oz, it a giant version of NZ
just scaled up some what .
We visited our old sailing freinds who are holed up in Bunduburg after having
a serious accident and breaking his hip in four places, it was great to catch
up with them, Rum and Ginger beer , called dark and stormy but only
if you hand slips on the rum bottle..
The whole area is a mass of sugar cane, and fruit fields on an industrial scale
and as the temp is ideal for growing just about anything they do !
On the way back down to Brisbane we visited the Steve"Iv got my Sting Ray"
Irvin Zoo, I thought it was going to be a bit naff but it turned out there was more
to the guy than just sensational TV shows, it was very well presented and run
very informative and covered a whole lot of conservation stuff with animals, by
all accounts we are about to run out of Tigers only 3500 left in the wild, and
soon to be extinct by 2020, take out the zeal of the reporting and it probably
means 2030, but its still a sobering thought that in our lifetime we have
destroyed such a magnificent creture, all for a bit of furniture thats crap anyway,
and there body parts curshed up in some herbal remady for erectional disfunction
and baldness ! well thats what some culture think anyway, me I prefer him on
a pack of Frosties and in my petrol tank !
After all that ecitment we flew back to NZ, still raining and blowing a bastard, only to
find that the heating had packed up ! oh well cant have it all fun and games can we,
so thats us up to date realy.
