Hi Folks,

Well the day has come and gone, its the first time in 18 years that no rug rats have been present, bit boring for a big kid like me, no sacrafical tourture of santa, as our Bott ( Devyn ) was at his Dads this year for the 4 o/c am wake up call, we managed to lay in till 8:30 am, after tea in bed, a slow start but after the preping of the meat for the barbie the vino was flowing well, the bott arrived and wanted to play cricket, a sack of old potatos was my slant to cricket after batting many spuds over the neighbours gardens we retired to open our pressys, the girls had finished all the veg prep , much joy as the wrapping paper flew and everybody got what they wanted with a few suprises, I got a hovercraft cant wait to get the batteries .
The beef and lamb was rituraly layed on the barbie for the roasting and we dinned on the fruits of our labours, well Lyn and Gails , anyway we were stuffed and bloated half an hr later, the dishes were tossed into the washer and we all layed in front of the telly and played Buzz, a pop quiz wall known down under for frustrating each player to foaming at the mouth whilst other screem and shout as they climb the points ladder, I was the latter this year much foam as I went down 3-1 to Gail ...

Tmrw our guest arrive from Auckland for the start of the summer holls begin with the polishing off of the crimbo dinner left oversplus plenty of Branston pickle and pickled onions ...... We have two days down in  Wellington before we set off on the tourist trail, Taupo, and Routarua are on the list before we arrive at Opua for some sail hauling and boat preping prior to setting sail for the first time since March .

Watch to dot it will be moving soon ..
