Hi Folks,

Catching up with the blogging, I will explain later why I have been so laxed, anyway we arrived at Baz and Jens ( the other grandparents) and were warmly received, the fire was on and the temperature in Napier was low, Lyn and myself were fully thermalactic, Bas a hardy Kiwi had even put his jeans on, this is a first according to Gail.
Next day we went on a tour of the town, we have done this a few times before but its such an interesting town there's always something new that catches your eye, had a great lunch and discussed the wine tour we would embark on, it was a public holiday, the Queens birthday no less and a great time was had by all, some great wines to, there are so many vine yards around here that we left the choice to Baz who has many years of experience in this activity, the great thing is he doesn't drink.
The evening was a quite affair with us all huddled around the heater, it was strange to see a avenue of large palm trees covered in frost !
The next day after scraping off the frost from the van we went in convoy with Gail down to Wellington surprisingly it was cold but dry as a bone which will make a change to our "once a day shower" we have become used to in the north of the country.
It was great to get back down to Miramar, parked up the van and unloaded all our bags of cloths into our room, the pile of gear underneath it is just as large, so many tools and bits of boat, its a good job we have a large garage to put it all in, anyway that's the next adventure, tomorrow we visit the house we have purchased for the first time as owner to review the works we will have to do  to get it all ship shape to rent out .
