Hi Folks,
Another weeks flashes by, the weather has remained kind to us and we have prepped the hull, top sides ready for Lyn to start applying her magic, she has been going over all the little dings and filling them with the pink stuff, she now has to prime them and flatten them then the first coat of awlgrip will go on to the topsides, they recon we will have another month of weather at this temp before the windy wet stuff arrives at the beginning of May, hopefully we will be back in the water and then wind our way back down south into the real winter weather, as we bask up here in 22 deg C, Gail has the electric blanket on and her Jim jams on at night, here we have just started to get the eve chill which means a light quilt on the bed at night, that's the difference 900 km makes.
On the mechanical front, the steering box is in for modification, the long awaited sink mods are under way, fitting a new hull valve under the sink and putting a two way valve in with electric diaphragm pump, this means at last the sink can be emptied at the push of a button over the side, and not into the grey tank which blocks the filter every other time you use it .
The sea chest has had five sets of fittings removed as they are de-zinking,another fine piece of cheepo marine grade brass either oriental or Indian elbows and tail ends supplied by a quality marine supplier Aqua fax, UK .. to be refitted with s/steel ones of Australian origin .
The spinnaker pole has been re resined and rubbed down for a few coats of paint, the resin around the carbon had started to break down, another job we intended to do before we left, but a least it will be done this time.
That's about the end of progress to date, I will take some more picks and put a few together for the blog .
It nice to see that the G20 have solved the economic crisis, all with a Jamie Oliver meal , pucker job !
as Jamie chucks most of his grub together with a "cor blimey gov" and as I haven't heard the nuts and bolts of what they intend to do, if anybody has any info please let me know, were still pushing out the sheep, beef and vino exports its all we have  . . . . no EU money here to bail out the farmers or spend on urban regeneration, the council gives you your rates bill you pay up and that has to do for the who;e region, the rates are very cheep considering it has to pay for all the roads, council services, sewage treatment,  fire service, police ect, I'm just wondering what Gosport council used to do with all the money it got ! I suppose I got a free wheelie bin ...

Well hope the spring is as good as the one we had here ..
