Hi Folks,

Well it was a gusty start to the day with all hands on deck at 06.00 as the wind shifted to the north and some ominously looking black clouds came rushing in on a 25 knt wind, it was on with the fouls and shake out the main sail , poor thing hasn't seen the light of day for a long while, it must have been a shock for it to .. anyway we had the main up and stay sail out ,then got back on course to Tonga , the weather is at the moment unpredictable as this stage of the journey crosses some of the lows that come out from Papua New Guinea , these are the ones that held everybody up a few weeks ago, this one that is currently in front of us is diving south but will leave  disturbed weather in its wake , the wet stuff and low cloud !
The up side is that we only have 400 or so miles to go , which means that we should make it in ten days , not our usual time but with the light airs last night , crawling along at 3 to 4 knots its put a dent in our beer o'clock time table !
Anyway this is a short blog today as chef of the day Ruth has just popped the bread in the oven , I have to down load the weather and listen to the Anzac net, by that time the bread will be out the oven and it will be a few rounds of hot bread and jam for breakfast umm ..
