Hi Folks,

We departed Hakui bay at 09.00 bound for the north west tip of Nuka Hiva for an overnight stop before proceeding to Anaho bay , we were glad to leave Hakui as the NoNos were nipping something terrible and no amount of repellent would keep them away , the swell to the beach was way to high to land , we were planning on walking to the waterfalls there which drop some 2600 ft into a pool , which you can swim in , never mind I think we would all have been covered from head to foot in clothing so a swim would have been low on the priority list with the bug situation .
Anyway we had a great sail to Haahopu bay only to find that the anchorage had very poor holding ,we could not get the anchor to bight so we decided to go to our final destination in the Marquesers Anaho bay , as we rounded the tip of the island we met a headwind of some 20 to 25 knots so it was handles down and full ahead to the bay,
We arrived at another stunning bay , beautiful backdrops and good holding , the water depthwas 17m and as we have our extended chain all connected we dropped 60m and had a good nights sleep.
This morning the wind has been to high to get the sails down for repair, Lyn is making some modified canvas work , whilst Rob and Ruth have been practising there macramé with the Lazy jacks and have succeeded were many have failed in getting them working as intended by the sail maker !
This is our last port of call in the Marquasers were we have had a wonderfull time and realy seen a number of islands that not many mortals get to visit because of its remoteness , our next port of call will be low leavel islands like the San blas Islands so a complete change of sceanary is coming up ,we have a 700 nm trip wich should take about 5 days , we should depart in about 4 days .

A Happily anchored crew
