Hi All,

Still at anchor in Atuona bay soaking up the ambiance of the area, although its been a maintenance day which included a mounting of washing , oil changes , impeller changes, water up tanks from shore , 200 litre , and numerous other chores , we are trying to get everything done by tonight as we have a car hired for tomorrow as we are going to tour the island , off to visit the hieroglyphs ( stone carvings ) like they have on Easter Island .
We then intend to go to a more stable anchorage on the island of Tahuata to repair the mast spinnaker track with my MONEL pop rivets, and to clean the hull  , these islands have small villages so we should be able to find a secluded beach for our barbi of some of our fish , we will have to butter up with repellent as the little nonos as they call them have a bight like a cobra , painful , although I found in the bar we went to the other night that rubbing myself down with the leftovers of the sweet grapefruit we ate kept the little buggers off , they all laughed , the French thought I was mad but I might have looked like a fruit salad but I dint get bitten so there as tip when you go foreign don't waist you left over skins, have a quick rubdown before you leave the bar, the only thing I got bittern by was the bill at 26 nicker for eight beers and a complementary grapefruit .....
