Hi Folks,

Just when you think the roll is over it reappears , never mind the anchorage is fine and the swells less than the Galapagos islands , we have checked in , oh it so good to be in France again , civil customs people who actually welcome you and don't ask for a penny , it took all of 5 mins to check in to a very pretty official , if this is French Polynesia Ill be back for more , we then looked around the village , its all very affluent here , we understand that the French government dole out 30,000 euro to all the families on the islands , no wonder they drink coca cola at 1:50 pounds per can ! another good one is eight beers for 26:00 pounds sterling that works out at 3 pound a bottle but we had a free grapefruit which we ate hole heartedly and rubbed ourselves down with the skin to keep the little no sees from bighting .. and Oh do they bight Hisckock gave the warning 50 years age and nothings changed .
Fuel here is only  83 p a litre though ...
We visited Paul Guaguin's house and exhibition , he lived and died here , Lyn was particularly interested in the paintings and his ramshackle house .
Thanks for the final verdict from our online court , I new I would get castigated on  this one , we have had a good laugh at the judgment and thank all those out there who  sent entries in we have had immense fun reading them and it has kept spirits up .
It hasn't been all jute, jive and jellytotts , we have been working the mornings on maintance and repairs , remember the catamaran that was damaged , we visited them and looked at the damage , gave them some advice and materials to repair till they get to Tahiti , that's the first place they will be able to get hauled out , they were lucky , or unlucky as the got a second hit a few days later by a large floating buoy which broke off there wind steering gear , which they repaired at sea in 10 to 15ft swells , it is a tribute to there survivability that they got the boat to the Marquises .
