Day Four
Hi Folks,
They call it the coconut milk run , this passage
from Galapagos to Marquises , its more like a coconut milk shake this morning ,
after a good sail yesterday with the twin heads up , the wind shifted around to
the south at 2200 last night so it was all hands on deck to take down one of the
poles and the light airs Genicker as the wind shifted and gained in
strength to 20 knts , we can only run with the light airs gennicker in winds up
to 15 knts , we then shifted our main foresail to the stb side and poled it out
again , the swell and wind have stayed with us all through the night on our port
stern quarter making it an uncomfortable night for all , at daybreak it still
remains the same , progress is good though , and in the right direction though
its across the swell !
On the fishing front , yesterday Rob caught our
first Dorado fish , nice size Two kg , it in the deep freeze now awaiting Lyns
culinary skills at some point .
Rhythm radioed last night to say they had 1000 nm
to go , lucky them .
Well from a bumpy crew
