Day Seven , the tour continues ..
Hi Folks,
Sorry missed the blog yesterday, problems with the
computer , the charging connection on the mother board broke so Rob and myself
had as most boys do pulled it apart , Ruth took photo evidence , Dave Hale you
would have been proud of us ! right down to the mother board .. it all went back
together again , but didn't work ! the charging connection didn't either so it
was panic stations , no internet or blogg transmit , luckily they have internet
cafes here so we went and down loaded the software from sail a mail and got the
other PC hooked up to the web site, so this is coming from the navigation
computer , will have to source another in Tahiti ..
Anyway that the boring bit onto the good bits
, we went on a boat tour to North Seymour Island and La Plaza Island ,
unbelievable wild life , Blue footed Boobies, Frigate birds, giant iguanas ,
marine and land type, shearwaters , sealions , and whales , all in the one trip
, on the bird sanctuaries you were so close you could touch them , the birds had
no fear at all and just sat there looking at the daft humans clicking away , we
were lucky that we got paired away from the German twitching battalion who we
went on the trip with , they had tripods on tripods and cameras that looked like
Krupped howitzers ! and more yards of film than Cecil B De Miln , luckily enough
we got back and drank all the beer before they did .
Day Eight
Maintenance day , gave up on the computer and found
a repairer , cleaned the hull in a rain storm , got the fresh water bottles
topped up , booked our trips to Bartholomew Island , and another Dive tour for
Sat cant wait ! early start tomorrow at 5 o/c am !
