Galapogus Day Two

Hi Folks,

Feeling a bit woozy this morning after a large does of Iguana juice yesterday evening and some good Ecuadorian hospitality , we went ashore yesterday afternoon to look around , although we have organised our trips we went to look at the Port of Ayona , its a quart little place , the jetty is a hive of activity , with all the Islands food and supplies being man handled off of the freighter ships in the bay intro little "scowl's"or small barges then towed in to a small jetty and unloaded into trucks and distributed , there are no large Warf's or dock facilities here so I wonder how they support the 18 thousand populace , which includes the tourists as well , we had a great meal ashore and it was all up to European standards , they are way ahead of the brits on the recycling front , and its all very clean and tidy so the public works are working well I think.
The garbage collection trucks are funded by the EU so the money you all contribute does go further than Brussels after all !
We are starting the tourist trail in earnest today so will have lots to report on to morrow , cameras at the ready and expecting Blue footed boobies and Iguanas by the truck load ...
