We spent four days anchored in Cockburn harbour before the wind settled.

Mercedes spent time snorkeling collecting conch shells and we learned to know our neighbours on starboard side (Kathy and Danny) who sailed under the Red Ensign but were both from Israel.

We had a nice evening onboard Dora Mac and a day onboard their 54ft Beneteau bound for the US east coast just like us. They told us to spend a day in the Marriott Resort on the east coast of  South Caicos which we did. It´s a beautiful resort but with astonishing prices. One night is around 2.600Usd !

Just years ago the most expensive hotels in Sweden were around 500Usd/night. Prices skyrocketing seems to be a continues trend and it always strikes me were all the money comes from ? One thing is for sure-it´s NOT from hard working honest professionals who although with high salaries can`t make that kind of money.

After four days we woke up in settled weather and it was time to go. It’s possible to cross the whole Caicos bank following “safe “ tracks, but depth is between 1,8-3m and waters unsurveyed with scattered coral heads . Heading for West Caicos Island we decided to encircle the whole Caicos bank in open sea on the south side (80Nm).
