Gday All…. We write to you all on the beautiful island of Huahini, some 90 nm west of Tahiti and a stones throw from Bora Bora.  We finally left Tahiti on Saturday the 13th September after waiting far too long for parts…. though not a bad place to wait thats for sure ;)  Now we have them installed and the old girl is working well once again.  An amazing island Tahiti with heaps of walks and amazing surf, lots of people and the biggest shops and supermarkets we have ever seen (well….. for us considering where we have been ;) ). We had a great time but we could not wait to leave the big smoke for more.. simple and less populated islands!

Our plan is to be in Fiji by early November which does not give us long at all.  Only two months left in the sailing year with 2000 nm to go and that will go fast.  After here we will sail to Bora Bora, then Maupiti, and then on to Niue (a little 1000 nm which will be our last big sail), followed by Tonga and then finally Fiji.  We had planned to visit the Cook Islands but with our unplanned extended stay in Tahiti we have just run out of time…. one cannot see everything but regardless it should be grand.  The boat has changed someone with regards to crew.  Rohan has left for the year and is now in bonnie Scotland earning the coin and Nigel left last week for the same in Australia.  Good luck guys and Nig, will be seeing you in the New Year.  Now we have two new crew for the good yacht Decadence… Dirk and his surfboard who we met last year in Ecuador, and Aldo who is an Italian mate we met recently in the Galapagos who was looking for a lift.

So…. Let final leg begin, and may it never end…. ;)
