For the last few days we have been very spoilt with good strong easterly winds which have given us a great course of SE for the last few days.  This morning we had a lot of rain and squalls but back on track scooting at 4 kts.  That may not sound like much but for this old heavy tub against the prevailing winds and tide, she is moving with all flux capacitors…. Fluxing.. ;)  Should be past French Guiana in a few days (if this wind keeps up and I have not cursed it) and of the coast of Brazil.  We have decided to keep at least 25nm off the coast at any time, just to play it safe.  Passing the Amazon we will have to be well offshore to avoid the currents.  We shall see…….

Had some more great fishing, mackerel steaks tonight…. But still not as big as……………………
