Well, so this is it……..  We currently find ourselves in the Marina of Ardfern in the West coast of Scotland.  We…  Matt Stafford and Rohan Buckley … have recently purchased and bluewater fitted the 39 foot steel centre cockpit ketch ‘Providence’ for a two year sail home to Australia from Scotland heading West via the Caribbean, South America, Antarctic and the Horn, Galapagos and the Pacific (more details on the itinerary later).  Not a short trip, as we plan to take two years to do this and if all goes well we will sail from Ardfern in Scotland on the 21st November ….  and such a pleasant time of the year to do so ..... ;)

Feel free to take a look at it our site at any time, as we will do our best to keep you informed and posted on what will be happening next.  With that in mind, we do have an open invite to anyone who would like to join us at any time..... The only rules are that you pitch in for food and fuel, marina or park fees (when necessary) and must bring two bottles of rum and/or whiskey.  ;)

So keep track of where we are, and where you may be, and see what happens.  We can be contacted on the ‘mailasail’ email or on our other emails, but be aware that the ‘mailasail’ system strips the email of all attachments and photos and compresses the email so it is easier and faster to download via our sat-phone.  If you want to send anything big with attachments then use our other hotmail or lycos accounts which we will check from time to time.
