Farewell Caribbean. 7th May 2012.

After just under three months cruising in the Caribbean it is time to say farewell and head south.  Short but sweet.  The plan now is to sail from Grenada and do what many say is mad, and spend the next few (maybe more) weeks sailing into wind and sea…. ‘Bashing into it’ as some would put it.  After a somewhat a zig-zag course our next planned stop is Fortaleza in the north east of Brazil and then after a short rest it will be off again for Rio.

It only seems like yesterday we arrived in the BVI’s from the Atlantic crossing.  Many islands visited, and new friends made.  Highlights for us include Virgin Gorda sound for great people, kitesurfing, and a little too many social activities; Green Island Antigua – just a magic place; Dominica for its laid back cruiser scene; The Grenadines and Tobago Cays…… magic….. and a great farewell from Paul and Lynne on their yacht “Beaudacious” here in Grenada – thanks.  Too many more to mention here!

Now it’s time to wish for better winds and currents than we’re expecting and hopefully we will arrive in Brazil in a few weeks.  We are excited about the big sail coming up but the novelty may wear off soon!

Look for the blog entries every few days, and see you in Brazil……..
