25th February 2012

Dear All…. Been rather slack with the blog page up-dates, so here we go with a catch up.  Arrived safe in the BVI’s on the 17th Feb anchoring in Road Town Tortola the clear customs.  All agreed felt great to have terra firma under our feet.  Decided to treat ourselves to a few days in the local marina and blow some well earnt steam….. and we did, and what a sight.  Un-kept and beards-a-flowing…. The _expression_ ‘wind-swept and interesting’ is an _expression_ I would like to use, but scruffy and smelly is more accurate.  We stayed in Road town for a few days and got some repairs done to a few sails, a little welding (don’t use the guy we used… nightmare!!) and some rest.  Ben and Moon, our sailing companions and crew are leaving us here and carrying on with their own adventures.  Fantastic couple who were a pleasure to have onboard and we wish them the very best.

Now all that is behind us, we are doing what we set out to do… cruise.  For the last few days we have been island hopping, bar hopping, and generally hopping all over and have a lot more to do.  The plan is to stay in the British Virgin Islands for a few more weeks and then start heading South.  The rough plan is St Maarten late this month and then Antigua and keep going……. Should be in Barbados before we know it.  We shall see!!  We will write more later and post some photos…. Now we are to sail to Norman  Island and Willi T’s tonight……. Oh the liver… ;)

Cheers all…. Matt and Rohan….
