Day 6

The gribs from before we left have been just about spot on and we continue in stately fashion averaging 6.8k with a steady 10-15kts from behind. The wind got up a couple of knots and went further aft yesterday morning to steady the rattling in the rig then stayed pretty constant all day with the shifts coming more or less as predicted. We gybed around 9 o’clock last night and have just now gybed back onto port.  Still a wee bit rolly when it goes light, but seas still only about 1.5m - nothing really.  Looks as if we will have more of the same with perhaps stronger winds between Lands End and Plymouth on Thursday – Plymouth now only 380 miles away!  No sun again yesterday and the sea looks steel grey this morning – none of that India ink blue any more…

Had 3 short beaked common dolphins come and ride our bow waves for a while.  We had a couple of fulmars playing around the boat most of the day.
