We said our goodbyes on 30^th October to Cartagena and headed south for Chalon.  A great 5 hour sail and we had arrived – navigated the tricky entrance and dropped anchor in a lovely pretty and peaceful bay – bit like being in a Scottish loch but with better weather.   An hour after a refreshing swim we found ourselves on a shrimp boat enjoying happy hour with some very friendly and musically talented cruisers!  We had never imagined when we were rushing around trying to get organised at 10 o’clock that morning that we would be watching the sun going down on the south American continent whilst listening to great music – brilliant!
