Can’t
find that elusive weather window to head to Bermuda, so decided to head to St
Barts and then St Martin rather than sit going stir crazy in Antigua.
So we cleared out on am of Tues 26th and sailed around the coast to Jolly Harbour
where we picked up some fuel and anchored for the night. Wed 27th,
we departed Antigua at 06.00 for the 75m sail
to St Barts, where we arrived at 16.45. Pleasant downwind sail, goose winged
most of the time in 15-18k south easterly. Anchored off Gustavia with intention
of visiting the town in the morning (28th) before moving on to a
quieter anchorage in the afternoon. Very rolly here and many moored boats.
Rigged a bridle overnight and managed to quieten the boat down enough to make
things very comfortable.
