Day 3

Wind stayed steady most of day – around 15 knots from the southwest – increased slightly later in the evening.  On port gybe the whole day doing between 6 and 8 knots.  Seas “slight” (a good old BBC description!) but lumpy with wind waves so rocking and rolling.  Thin cloud cover which never really cleared and this morning it’s really heavy grey cloud cover – where’s the sun – we need to make some amps!

Had a sighting of pilot whales but always much more difficult to spot in disturbured seas but we know they’re all there just lurking beneath the surface!   Another couple of ships passed by in the distance.  That odd bird is back again!
