Night thoughts!

There's nothing so dark as the sky with no moon,
When the sun goes down it gets dark all too soon!
No stars at first, just dark grey sky,
And the roar of the waves as the sea goes by,
Eerie dark sky way up high,
I'm waiting for the stars to brighten up the sky!
Waiting, & waiting, my reward at last,
First one, then another, then loads come out fast,
But I'm still waiting for the moon & it's guiding light,
It's been getting smaller as the days go by,
I hope it's not tonight, when it doesn't shine in the sky!
The stars are very pretty, twinkling way up high
But there's nothing so pretty as a full moon in the sky!
With his smiley face looking down on me!
He keeps me company when I'm at sea,
I smile when I know you are looking at the same moon as me!
