Hi from Tahiti - April 21, 2012

We have now arrived in Tahiti!
We had a choppy sea and a cork screw motion so it was an uncomfortable
journey here, plus storms, but it's very picturesque here (Tahiti) but
very contrasting, there is another island on one side, small airport on
another, shanty town another, city on the other with green mountains
behind and an ocean reef beside us, which we snorkeled today, saw
loads of fish, an
airplane & boat, & very nice coral.
We have managed to get in the Marina this afternoon, so can write a bit
more as we have power & water so can use as much as we like to
shower tonight and have lights on.
So tomorrow we will have a good old spring clean, and there are washing
machines, so no washing at the town tap and everyone eyeing your
undies!while we do our washing, Luxury! Hopefully I will have time
(while the washing is going around) to go in the toilets & colour
my hair as at the moment I'm a grey haired old lady!
it is very hot & you can never get cool only a snorkel cools you for a
bit, but the fish have taken a fancy to me and nibbled me twice now,
& I was worried about getting bit by a dog!
it is a very nice Marina what we have seen so far, we saw a sign for
McDonalds just outside, so we went for lunch, but they only had 2 things
on the menu, chicken or fish and said they weren't selling burgers today,
this is the first one we have seen since Panama, so men disappointed
We have to look for a supermarket to get fresh supplies, as we have had
pasta or chicken for ages and are in need of meat.
We were going to go out for a meal but changed our minds as a drink was
about £5 so we have to do a bit of looking about, or eat in.
