Hi Everyone,
All Ok, Sorry no mail, as I have been sea sick, have resorted to The
watch+pills+Dyralite, which have made me sleep a lot, the weather has been
very bad, wind a constant 8/10 knots and lashings of rain, poor Alan did a
lot of watching on his own as I was useless(sick).
But to-day as dawn rose (and so did I) it seems to to be clearing, for the
1st time we took our new side rain cover down and so thankful we had it.
Good sign things are better everyone was able to have a shower & Stu
cooked Omelette & Bacon for lunch,
Alan’s just gone past and handed me a Malaria Tablet as we are going to
Vanautu and that is on our list, we have found out that hardly any one on
the other boats take there’s but its best to be on the safe side, we now
have a new Mossy net for the companion way so hopefully none can get in,
although we have been pleasantly surprised we have hardly seen Flies &
Mossy’s so far!
When we got back to Fiji, we were welcomed like old friends it was lovely,
we managed to go to the island where I promised to take them some photo’s
& books, and a dress for the lady’s baby, they loved them and where very
pleased to see us, and even remembered our names, the children we made
friends with came running up and gave us a hug, so it was worth the hassle
with customs about our heavy bag, they wanted us to pay £70 excess, and
pleaded with the girl and told them the stuff was for the village and not
us and in the end, that was the bag that we had to wait for, but it was
worth it in the end.
Our Lat-17.21S-Long-171.56E done 343miles & about another 200 to go, to
island Efante the island we have to clear into 1st before we can go
anywhere. It is 2.10pm and the best day so far so fingers crossed that it
stays.
Hope all is well, bye for now,
Lots of love Margaret & Alan – Mum & Dad xxx
