A much better day

Yesterday was a bit of a kick your arse sort of day, lack of sleep, from the rolling of the boat in the heavy sea for the last few days, had started to take it's toll. With each crew member wanting to do their own thing with only half the info, it did get a bit fraught. things are  slowly coming around to my way of doing things. By the end of the trip I should have them all doing in the same direction, using the same information. Anyhow that was my entertainment yesterday.

So last night we started to head for calmer waters, and today has been a much better start. Richard has now had some sleep, and is back to his demanding self, and don't I know it as I'm on mother watch today (galley slave). Alison is cleaning the boat, and Frans is sunbathing on the back deck reading his book.

Richard has had is go at Astro navigation, although he struggled this morning finding the sun, well it was a bright yellow ball in the sky with not a cloud in the sky around it, so i could see how hard it would be. perhaps he just wasn't use to seeing the sun, after his summer in Scotland.
