We looked at the weather, well Frans and Richard did, and they came up with a plan, but failed to come up with a course for their plan, as they had not got a chart to work with, even as I'd made them one from a piece of paper, and had even drawn in Spain for them so we didn't hit it. They have another chart as we have come further south, this time I have marked on Portugal so they don't hit that either.

 

So Alison went for a nice sail on her watch, and I went surfing on my watch, we had to do something while we waited for the plan. But generally sailed south.

 

The wind was from behind with only the headsail, there was no chance of gybing, so surfs up, not that you can do a lot with a 35 tonne boat, and 5m swell, but enough to get the nose out of the water for a few seconds.
