We have arrived, after careful consideration Richard turn on the engine for the last 2 hours. Fingers crossed at this port it seems like I will not be entertaining the locals, with a trip up the mast.

Once again we arrive and the place is shut, the shops open on a Saturday morning, but have all closed when we decide to go shopping.

But the sun is out, and I have arrived in Gran Canaria, the start of the race I tried to get to last year, lets just hope Vulcan Spirit doesn’t make a dash for Southampton while I fly back to the UK, perhaps I should padlock it to the pontoon while I’m away.

A quick phone call to Joe to tell him that our chariot for the ARC has arrived in Gran Canaria, finds him in Holyhead in a North East 7, i bet his water taxi babes weren’t in bikini’s, unlike all the girls on the beach next to the boat (I bet that will get me into trouble, and not with Joe).

A day of pottering today, then packing my bags to go home, looking forward to packing all those winter cloths needed for the start of the journey, that WILL NOT be needed on the next leg
