The
shelf (my bunk) has developed a very annoying squeak, which has managed to keep
not only me awake but also Frans who is bunked below us. So today it was out
with the grease, to give the shelf a good seeing to. Preliminary test seem to
show that the squeak has gone, so Frans and I are looking forward to
sleeping in peace, apart from all the other banging that goes on while
rolling about sailing down wind.
This
morning my first cup of T was on deck in my T shirt after having my previous
night shift on deck with only a fleece, and no jacket. Alison has even packed
away her winter gear, and I'm sure was sitting on deck with a Gin and Tonic in a
very summery outfit.
So
the sun is out and the wind
is warm.
Not
going very fast this morning, we discussed lots of options on how we could go
faster, so after some quality shouting from Richard, we are now sailing a little
better with both sails up, and the rolling motion is a little better. It was
looking like the end of the Bay of Biscay was in sight yet no wind to get us
there, but going along nicely now. Although it be a little off
course.
