We are planning to do some star sights, it’s taken me 2 days to convince Richard we don’t need to know which stars are which. So the last few days we have been stargazing, to identify stars.

You need to do the star sights at twilight, so there is enough light to give you a horizon to work off. Two days later and Richard has realised that all the star we can see at night we can’t see at twilight. It would help if he beloved me once or twice, i even have a certificate in this.

So I have worked out twilight, an the Hc and the Azimuth of 5 stars, so we can just point the sextant at the star.

There are no clouds at the moment so fingers crossed it will stay that way.
