This is a “we are ok message” just in case the media make a story of what happened tonight without all the facts and it worries anyone.

We received a mayday relay call regarding a vessel called Sparrow some 90miles north of us, reporting that it had been in a collision. We don’t know much more than that. We contacted Falmouth coastguard using the iridium phone to offer our assistance, but at 90 miles it would be nearly a day for us to get to the vessels. Falmouth informed us that a cargo vessel was only 4 hours away and had been sent to assist.

So back to sleep for me, and hope the vessel Sparrow is ok.
